Sunriver Lies 4156 Feet Above Sea Level at the Eastern Edge of the Cascade Mountains on Central Oregon's High Desert

*Started in 1968 on the site of Camp Abbot by John Gray and Don McCallum, Sunriver has become the Northwest's premier resort community.  The 3,340 acre planned development, 15 miles south of Bend, is surrounded by the Deschutes National Forest on three sides and five miles of Deschutes River to the west.

*Complete community services are here including Sunriver's own fire, police and emergency medical departments and a full public works facility.  governed by a nine-person Board of Directors, many owners serve on a variety of committes to enhance Sunriver's livability and uniqueness.

*As of January 2008 there are 3,018 homes, 956 condominiums and 180 lots sold but not yet built on.  About 1,600 people make Sunriver their full time home, but on any given day several thousand more may be enjoying the Central Oregon Dream.
